The three boards of Artifact
The gameplay of Artifact: The Dota Card Game takes place across a field of three boards. The boards are also known as lanes, as they correspond to the three different lanes of Dota 2.
Summary
Boards serve as the primary avenue for interacting with the game-state. Cards are cast onto one of the three boards, summoning heroes, units and other effects. Boards can have Improvements attached to them, which provide a continuous effect for every turn spent on that board.
Once play is finished on a board, the game moves to the adjacent board to the right, until all three boards have been played on.
